Colin Powell Takes Top Prize He's THE BEST… says CFA!!!

(PRLEAP.COM) Colin Powell IS the best… said CFA judges Ellyn Honey, Jeri Zottoli, Tracy Petty and Lynn Search. These renowned experts of excellence gave their opinion of Colin Powell in Morristown, New Jersey at the Sign of the Cat show on April 24, 2004. This was Colin’s last personal appearance after a year of grueling competition. That is when and where each judge gave Colin Powell 1st place and said…he is "the Best in CFA.’

And what is CFA? Since 1906, CFA (The Cat Fanciers’ Association) was established as the world’s largest non-profit registry of pedigreed cats. And what does Colin Powell have to do with CFA? Grand Champion, Breed Winner, National Winner, Caricature’s Colin Powell is a pedigreed cat … a rare Bombay pedigreed cat. And now… CFA’s CAT OF THE YEAR … 2004!!!

Colin Powell was named for a person of color who has made, and continues to make, significant contributions in the world. In the "cat world,’ Mr. Powell’s namesake… National Winner, Caricature’s Colin Powell has done the same for Bombay cats all over the world.

The Bombay is a "minority breed’ and Bombays usually do not beat majority breeds such as the Persians, Maine Coons or Siamese. Colin Powell’s victory over all of them is a victory of the minority over the majority. Top Cat Colin Powell beat 22,700 cats in competition. He was judged 290 times and in competition bested almost every single adult cat at every cat show he ever attended. An impossible feat… but not impossible for someone named Colin Powell.

Famed animal trainers and feline behavioral specialists Sharyn and Sig Hauck are the renowned breeders of Colin. Media professionals and politically active Gloria and John Clark are his owners. The Clark’s kept Colin in "show condition’ and financed and strategized his show career with Sharyn and Sig Hauck. They flew thousands of miles, visiting almost every state in the Union with Colin to capture this incredible title. Their team-partnership and unselfishness created CAT OF THE YEAR 2004.
