Date: 2004.06.26 10:00:22 Category: Art From: John Wood Company: Wealden House Phone: 0777 152 0001 (PRLEAP.COM) Pulling the names out of the hat was Dominic’s great aunt, Zila Kern, who had recently flown in from Frankfurt, Germany. Zila, who has just turned 90, is the sister of the well-known local poet, Shula Bailey - Dominic’s grandmother. By strange co-incidence, Shula was chosen by her sister as one of the winners of the competition but she gallantly decided not to accept her prize, offering it instead to the next name to be pulled out of the hat. First prize went to Phyll Mingay of Sheffield Park who said, "I am absolutely delighted to be the winner as I am a big fan of EastEnders." Second prize went to Mrs J. Roberts of East Grinstead who won a Luxurious Grace Facial from Zen Health & Beauty which recently opened in Wealden House. Third prize went to Ashurst Wood resident Chrissy Slocombe who won a full consultation and blow dry from Phase 2 Hairdressing which also recently opened in Wealden House. More art exhibitions (and possibly more competitions) at Wealden House are planned for the rest of the year and will be announced as they happen.
