Dipetane fuel treatment chosen by Menzies World Cargo to save money and reduce exhaust emissions.

(PRLEAP.COM) Menzies World Cargo (MWC) is using the Dipetane hydrocarbon fuel treatment from Loddon Services for its entire UK trucking fleet after trials produced a 25 per cent reduction in CO2 emissions and fuel savings of up to 7 per cent.

Dipetane significantly improves the quality of combustion of any liquid fuel. It has the ability to free up carbon molecules within the fuel, allowing them to burn more freely with the available oxygen.

Richard Hepburn, Business Development Director at MWC, said: "We have been monitoring the use of Dipetane using two of our road feeder trucks for some time. The environmental benefits and cost efficiencies produced have encouraged us to extend the exercise to all 33 of our 40-foot trucks operating between airports throughout the UK.

"Road transport is highly price sensitive and with the volume of competition, it is extremely difficult to increase prices even when our own costs go up. It is important, therefore, that we continue to look for new and more efficient ways of operating to ensure our customers continue to receive the best possible value from Menzies. The use of Dipetane is one of the initiatives that is helping us to do this."

This is the latest move by companies within Menzies Aviation Group (MAG) to introduce the use of a cleaner fuel system.

Dipetane is one of the most efficient and environmentally friendly fuels for petrol and diesel engines & boilers. Carbon is burnt more completely leading to reduced exhaust emissions and cash savings to the operator.
