High Speed Communications (HSC) Launch ‘Bandwidth-On-Demand' Services to Their London Client Base.

(PRLEAP.COM) The savings realised by ‘throttling back’ even just at evenings and weekends could shave thousands of pounds off corporate IT budgets; couple this with the ability to increase bandwidth for a specific project or even for just an hour’s heavy usage, such as for a video conference or an offsite data backup then performance and efficiency arguments start to become compelling; purchasing ‘might need’ bandwidth is something that can now be confined to the bad old days.

HSC are able to offer this kind of control to their customers as are they are not carrying any legacy equipment, the network has been built using next generation gigabit switching equipment, MPLS and resilient fibre rings; next generation features include Quality of Service (QoS) which allows users to priotise traffic destined for individual PCs such as the company web server or for time sensitive applications such as voice or video.

Services are delivered across 10Mb, 100Mb and 1Gb Ethernet circuits with bandwidth paid for on a per Mb basis, calculated daily; within the capacity of the circuit, customers choose what bandwidth is used when and how, it can also be scheduled to coincide with busy/quiet times of the day.

HSC Operations director Scott Charles commented "We knew from the start that we could deliver a product people needed in a way they wanted but had no idea that the market would respond this strongly, companies are now working with us on applications and services we just hadn’t previously considered. It seems ‘Bandwidth-On-Demand’ is what the market has been crying out for especially for those in the industry already working with next generation technologies such as VoIP, video and data storage, services that need the inherent flexibility that ‘Bandwidth-On-Demand’ offers.’

Pricing estimates are available in real time via the company’s website www.hscgroup.co.uk and are based on the distance from the HSC network to the customers building. Lead-times are typically 60 days, although this can decrease to as low as 14 days for customers in buildings already lit by HSC.
