Retailers Get New Ally in Choosing Supply Chain Software in IHL Consulting Group

(PRLEAP.COM) FRANKLIN, Tenn. Jan 22, 2004—Three global software vendors providing distribution and supply chain software — Sterling Commerce, JDA/E3 and i2 — top IHL Consulting Group’s "Power 15 for the Retail Supply Chain™."

According to IHL’s Retail Power Rating™, 15 software vendors are the most likely to increase sales, gain market share and remain strong for their customers in the future. This report will serve as a determining factor in buying decisions made by retailers seeking new information technology infrastructure.

The findings are part of a detailed, 105-page study, "Power 15 for the Retail Supply Chain - A Look at the Leading Distribution & Supply Chain Vendors," developed by IHL Consulting Group, a Franklin, Tenn.-based independent research and consulting firm specializing in retail technology. The study is available immediately and costs $1,995.

"Simply put, retailers who win in technology tend to win in return on investment," said Greg Buzek, founder, president and lead researcher at IHL. "The stakes are high and the war is real as retailers look to software vendors to move them from red to black on their bottom lines. "

For the report, IHL reviewed 30 top supply chain vendors serving retailers in North America. During the last six months, IHL compiled the data and applied its Power Rating. The rating is based on the number of clients a vendor serves in the top 250 North American Retail accounts and the revenue size of those clients.

"The Power 15 for the Retail Supply Chain provides a comprehensive review of those vendors that are making supply chains work in retail," said Buzek. "These are the vendors that are positioned to leverage new technologies like RFID that will spur tremendous investment in retail supply chain technologies during the next three to five years."

The report answers the questions and concerns facing retailers who seek insights into how to leverage their technology systems. It also provides in-depth insights into the market players and their strengths and weaknesses. It is intended for retailers, vendors and the investment community.
